The annual careers convention at local school Samuel Whitbread Academy took place on Tuesday 15 October 2013 and the EPSRC Centre in Ultra Precision was invited to be part of the evening.
The convention was aimed at 14-19 year old students studying GCSE’s and A Levels. It provided them with the opportunity of talking and discussing their future career aspirations and to demonstrate the diversity of career paths that are available in today’s society.
The Centre’s objective was to engage the students in engineering and those visiting the exhibition stand were offered the opportunity to discuss watch movements and partake in practical sessions.
