Tool and Work Piece Fixturing
Wednesday 17 February 2016 at Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd, Worcestershire
An often overlooked area of machining technology, the ability to hold both the tool and the work piece accurately and without damage, especially for precision machining, is an area that is little reported upon, but equally critical to the overall machining process.
This one day event organised by the EPSRC Centre in Ultra Precision and hosted by Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd, will examine industrial and some academic solutions to these issues, looking at the most recent advances in this process technology, and how the fixturing may be impacted by the material being worked on and the actual machine process itself.
Participants will have the opportunity to view the European Technology Centre during breaks. An optional factory tour (approx 20 minutes) will be available after the event, subject to availability.
Due to circumstances beyond our or the venue’s control, this event will no longer take place. We hope to revisit this topic at the same venue in the future and would like to thank those who have supported this area of machine technology development. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope that you will join us at our next event.
