With great sadness we announce the passing of Dr Paul Atherton, FRENG, the Chairman of our Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Ultra Precision Engineering.
Paul was an inspiration Chairman; he encouraged our researchers and students to translate their research from theory towards innovative solutions and impactful products.
His successful career as a leading nanotechnologist and entrepreneur has been widely acknowledged.
As President of euspen he helped steer the organisation towards its now well-established commercial footing.
Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
