The Centre delivered the Precision Engineering Industrial Short Course in November 2013. This was a five day intensive short course covering the basic principles and state-of-the-art concepts to increase the precision, accuracy and reliability of machine tools and products.
Delegates that attended were from Cranfield Precision, AWE, European Southern Observatory, FANUC and Diamond Light.
Guest lecturers were Richard May-Miller of Cranfield Precision, Prof Martin Culpepper of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA and Prof. ir. Robert Munnig Schmidt of Delft University of Technology, Denmark.
