Congratulations to Jon Parkins, one of the Centre’s PhD students based at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), University of Cambridge, for winning a poster prize at the 1st Year PhD Students’ Conference at the IfM.
First year PhD students at the IfM presented their work at this student organised conference on 21 May.
Jon (supervised by Prof Bill O’Neill and Dr Martin Sparkes) was the poster winner for his poster Increasing Throughout of Laser Additive Manufacturing in Metal Powders for Biomedical Applications.
Miss Tianqi Dong, also undertaking her PhD research within the Centre under the supervision of Prof Bill O’Neill and Dr Martin Sparkes, came joint second place with Jessy Zhou. Read more about Tianqi Dong’s research here.
