2nd UK Surface Engineering Industry – Present & Future
Thursday 30 June 2016, Cranfield University
After the great success of the first UK Surface Engineering Industry event, which saw over 150 participants gather in 2015, Cranfield University and the MTA are delighted to be able to announce a second conference in this series. The fully open event will be held on 30th June 2016 on the main Cranfield University campus.
This Industrial Conference Day will be chaired by Professor Jose L. Endrino and is intended for UK and international engineers and other professionals from the supply-chain and end-users, as well as for academics and students. The event already has the strong support of well-known international keynote speakers who will share their views on how to maintain an innovation culture in coating manufacturing.
The organisers are keen to discuss which are the new market opportunities, the most promising technological prospects, and the weaknesses of the sector with the surface engineering community. They also aim to, once again, send a united message about the importance of the coating sector in the UK by bringing academia and industry together to this open event.
There will be 12 talks by leading industry experts and the chance at the end for discussion. Registration will open at 09.30 am with coffee, starting at 10.00 am and the day will conclude at 17.00 pm. There will also be the opportunity to tour the Cranfield University laboratory.
