Future Display Technologies and Production Demand
The display technologies that are available from plastic/organic electronic structures may be different from the traditional “monitor” type displays people first think of when looking at this technology. Instead, the display may be a slow moving or even static type (e.g. electronic wallpaper) and/or offer different functionality such as fitted to non-flat and free-form surfaces, may also be wearable or integrated into clothing. These different applications of display technology come with their own production demands, that are likely to be equally different to those associated with traditional glass based displays. This event intends to examine these issues and allow researchers and industrial developers a chance to exchange ideas and find out what is the current state-of-the-art in these emerging areas.
The EPSRC Centre in Ultra Precision will be holding this one day meeting on Tuesday 1 April 2014 co-sponsored by the Centre for Advanced Photonics and Electronics (CAPE).
Speakers include:
- Professor Daping Chu, Chairman, Centre for Advanced Photonics and Electronics (CAPE), University of Cambridge
